Dear-Data D3 implementation
Dear Data is a year-long, analog data drawing project by Giorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec, two award-winning information designers. Each week they decide a topic about themselves, collect data points and implement data visualization ideas. More details about THE PROJECT.
The Dear Data Project has been a significant source of inspiration for me. It reminds me of the inherent beauty in the data we generate about ourselves. The practice of collecting personal data fosters an appreciation for the subtle nuances of our daily lives that might otherwise go unnoticed. It's important that as individuals, we take ownership of our data and make informed decisions about how it's used.
Giorgia and Stefanie have beautifully demonstrated the magic of data drawing. As a data scientist and engineer, I'm motivated to bring some of their exceptional visualization concepts to life using D3.js.
